On April 30, The Daily Signal—the news platform for the Heritage Foundation—published an op-ed authored by Steve Sund, a member of CBB’s Law Enforcement Advisory Council and former U.S. Capitol Police Chief. The op-ed calls for a more unified and urgent response to securing our borders, much like what happened following the terrorist attacks on 9/11. And he explains that the President “has the ability and authority to address this serious issue” through presidential directives.

The Washington Post published a letter to the editor from CBB founder and president Craig W. Floyd saying parents should be held accountable for the children they bring into this world. Letter was in response to an article about D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s plan to get tough with violent juvenile criminals and to hold parents accountable if their children do not go to school.

On March 27, The Washington Times published an op-ed authored by Art Gordon, a member of CBB’s Law Enforcement Advisory Council, saying thousands of retired officers are willing and able to assist our depleted police forces in the event of a public safety or national security crisis.
Former U.S. Capitol Police Chief Joins CBB Law Enforcement Advisory Council
On March 6, CBB announced that former U.S. Capitol Police Chief, Steven Sund, has joined their Law Enforcement Advisory Council. Chief Sund is also the best-selling author of the book titled, “Courage Under Fire: Under Siege and Outnumbered 58 to 1 on January 6,” which details the institutional failures that occurred on January 6.
CBB Law Enforcement Council Member Ted Williams reacts to three first responders killed in Minnesota
On February 18, CBB Council member and Fox News contributor, Ted Williams, spoke on Fox News about the two Burnsville (MN) police officers, Matthew Ruge and Paul Elmstrand, and Burnsville firefighter/paramedic Adam Finseth, who were shot and killed responding to a domestic violence call. He said officers who run toward danger when others run away must always be on alert, never knowing if they will make it home to their families.
